For Vodeno, a company offering its clients comprehensive technology and financial services, we have successfully completed a project to build an innovative, cloud-based banking platform.

The goal of our collaboration was to create a digital Bank-as-a-Service platform that would enable Vodeno’s clients to fully move their banking services to the cloud. After several months of intensive development works and numerous tests, the platform went live, under the supervision of one of the European regulators. Next steps in the cooperation with Vodeno involve expanding the mobile application and extending banking services based on API services. The cooperation in this model has been going on for nearly three years.

The Onwelo team worked with Vodeno on preparing the solution concept as well as designing, developing and setting up the environment in the Google Cloud Platform. We also participated in migrating the first banking client to the cloud. Besides we form part of the platform monitoring and maintenance team.

A major challenge in working on the project was building from scratch a complete, cloud-based banking solution along with a distributed central system. This required an out-of-the-box approach ensuring reliability – in terms of both infrastructure and software.

The project also required high technical qualifications of our specialists and a great deal of domain knowledge. It was also quite a challenge to comply with the strict European regulations that governed the implementation of platform environments. The combined know-how of our experts ensured the smooth implementation of a technically advanced project that addresses the specific business needs of Vodeno’s clients.
