DPO: companies are not prepared for GDPR

Events marking Personal-Data Protection Day are underway. The great majority of these occasions, which are taking place throughout Poland, are devoted to GDPR. Because Polish companies are unprepared for the new regulations, a strong emphasis is being placed on giving them the opportunity to learn about GDPR. This lack of readiness is confirmed in a report drawn up by the Office for the Protection of Personal Data.

It found that though more than half of the companies surveyed are aware of the new obligations, they do not know exactly what they involve. Only 38% of companies had taken action to prepare for GDPR.

The report was compiled based on a sample of 507 companies. It was designed to assess companies’ knowledge of GDPR and their readiness to apply the new regulations. More information on this subject is available here GIODO.

We invite all companies preparing for GDPR to look at our solution, which makes the process of adapting to the new requirements much more efficient: OnSecure Data Protection.

We would also like to cordially invite companies to an open lecture on how to guarantee the safety of personal data. The meeting will be held on 22 February at Pauza in the Garden in Kraków (ul. Rajska 12). Entry is free of charge. For more information, please go Foundation.

The next event giving you the chance to meet our experts is RIBA Forum, which is a conference devoted exclusively to data security and GDPR. It is scheduled for 28 February –1 March at the Hotel Courtyard by Marriott, Warsaw Airport, ul. Żwirki i Wigury 1 in Warsaw.
