OnTax helps companies adapt to SAF-T reporting requirements

OnTax is the tax module of the OnFinance platform, which is an Onwelo solution for automating financial and management reporting. The application can either be installed on a company’s server, or used according to the SaaS model. OnTax allows data to be gathered from many different sources (systems or files in various formats), which are then unified in a form that will generate an SAF-T that complies with Ministry of Finance requirements. With the assistance of OnTax it is also possible to test and edit data (individually or in bulk), send them in the standard required by the Ministry of Finance, correct SAF-T files and archive reports.

Whether a company decides to install OnTax on its server, or use it in the service model, they can expect continuous updates so that the application keeps pace with Ministry of Finance requirements for the SAF-T structure. The OnTax module can import completed SAF-T files, such as those generated from an ERP system, and then send them to the Ministry of Finance server and archive them in its own repository, said Bartosz Czyż, who is responsible for the development of the OnFinance platform at Onwelo.

The OnTax application forms a part of Onwelo’s complete reporting offer. The other elements of the offer cover business analysis, which involves verifying the data to be reported to the SAF-T structure and determining the areas of the finance and accounting system they can be drawn from. This analysis is performed by an experienced team of specialists boasting deep and long experience in tax and legal affairs (licensed tax advisers) and in the integration and implementation of IT systems. Onwelo offers either cloud activation or installation of OnTax on the customer’s server, as well as testing and service support for the application. Creating dedicated interfaces to ensure the automatic flow of data between feeder systems (SAP, Oracle EBS, Microsoft Dynamics AX) and the OnTax module is a further service that Onwelo offers.
When the new rules take effect, the relevant state authorities can demand that large companies make data available in the form of an SAF-T file for completed tax periods falling after 1 July 2016. The first mandatory submission of the VAT reporting structure must be made by 25 August this year. The obligation to send VAT reports to tax offices in SAF-T form will be extended to SMEs from the beginning of 2017.
